Team 20% cooler Narcissa and Nicole from Australia with huge number of cosplays are now on GamezMentor. They have completed Tifa cosplay from Final Fantasy 7, setsuna Negima cosplay, Sheryl Macross cosplay, Rainbow Dash MLP FIM Csoplay and many more and they care to give us some time for interview. we asked them a number of questions which can be seen below. Complete Interview

1. Tell us about yourself first.

Narcissa: I’m a coffee-addicted Leo with a love of the finer fabrics in life and a good pair of heels.

I am trained in the Equestrian Industry, I love music and I been collected My Little Ponies since I can remember.

I’m a mother of a sweet little boy and I have a FANTASTIC girlfriend.

Nicole: I’m an anime figurine obsessed metal head who does pretty much nothing but cosplay. I’m a bit of a comedian who enjoys the strange things in life and the stranger the better. I can also spot a Panda at 200 meters.

2. Gaming is your hobby or just time pass?

Narcissa: Mostly for research for cosplay, or as a way to unwind from the stress that can come from cosplay LOL.

Nicole: Its hopbby. I enjoy playing but I’m not hard-core. I squeeze it in between cosplays.

3. Tell us about your Favorite game

Narcissa: I am in-love with the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors games. I also play a lot of Pokemon.

Nicole: My favourite game is Brutal Legends because of the pure awesomeness.

4. One thing that makes you angry?

Narcissa: Trolls, Cyber Bullies and websites that encourage bullying and trolling. That and running out of coffee.

Nicole: Sydney’s Public Transport System, Mondays and cosplayers who only put on a wig to be a character without making any kind of costume effort.

5. Piracy for Games are very common now days, Torrents etc. are big source of piracy don’t you think it should be stopped?

Narcissa: I’m very mixed on this. There are some games that you just can’t get anymore, or are REALLY hard to get for under $200. For the majority of games, you can now just buy and download straight onto the PS3 and that’s fantastic. (If anyone knows where i can get FFVII for under $200 and playable etc please let me know)

Nicole: Even if i think it should, it won’t. I like to buy my games as I am a collector.

6. When did you start cosplaying and how long for?

Narcissa: I have been costuming for 15 years. First with SCA type groups, then costume classes with my horses. Then in 2005 I was asked to throw together a FFVII Tifa in 2 days and I have sewn nearly 200 costumes for myself and other people.

Nicole: 3 years now. Started with Negima and now competeing in competitions like WCS and Madman National Cosplay Competition.

7. Is there anyone who supported you in cosplaying?

Narcissa:

Cathy and Curzon: my support team in Perth who have been with me since 2005 and i couldn’t function without them!!!!

8. What attracts you to cosplay?

Narcissa: Pretty dresses. Seriously I do it to have an excuse to make Glorious Gowns and wear them in public.

Also its a way to pay homage to the amazing work that the artists and writers put into these characters. Each one I cosplay has some meaning to me.

Nicole: the character’s personality. This makes or breaks the decission on what to cosplay.

9. Share 1 funny moment or incident that happened to you doing cosplay or which makes you laugh?

Narcissa: Coughing up a 1/4 of a cup of glitter that i inhaled.

Nicole: My partner wanted to measure me up for my WCS Zhen Ji and I automatically dropped my pants and turned my back to her in a very pathetic way… turns out she was wanting to measure up for the jacket… which has nothing to do with my pants, or lack of them.

10. Your Hobbies?

Narcissa: Cosplay. There is no time for anything else. I do also collect MLPs and BJDs

Nicole: What is this word hobby? There is only cosplay. Phootography, gaming, music.

12. Any advice you want to give to cosplayers who are new in cosplay?

Narcissa: Take everything you hear from other cosplayers with a bucket of salt. Keep your cosplay life and your private life seperate. Gossip is very viral in the cosplay communities and the less you say the better.

Nicole: Start earning money!!! Good cosplay costs. Stick to your guns. Make who YOU want to make. Don’t do it ti impress others, do it for yourself.

13. What is your Dream?

Narcissa: To win WCS Australia this year.
