Sony Closes Zipper Interactive

It is confirmed by Sony today that it has closed Seattle-based game studio Zipper Interactive, the creators of the SOCOM series. In addition sony said,

Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm the closure of Zipper Interactive, a Seattle-based internal game development studio that has been part of the global development operation of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS).

and more if you don’t know, Zipper had a proximately 80 employees.
